My Approach
I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) who provides quality one-on-one support in a safe and confidential space for coaching, mental health support and more. With several years of experience working with high-conflict separated families and individuals with ADHD, I utilize a strengths-based and solutions-focused approach in my work to empower my clients. Together, we will identify what is working well and what needs improvement, ultimately creating a plan on how to reach your personal, parenting, co-parenting and step-parenting goals.
Let’s connect today!
Meet Melissa
I initially became interested in social work after working with social workers myself. The support I received was immeasurable and I was fascinated to learn more about family dynamics, as they impact each of us.
I’m a Registered Social Worker who graduated with my social work diploma from Northern Lakes College. In addition to my diploma, I have taken additional trainings in ADHD Coaching, Parenting Coordination, Mediation, Parenting Plan Evaluations, SAFE Home Assessments, and I am a Circle of Security Parenting facilitator.
I have supported individuals with ADHD, high-conflict separated families and families involved with child welfare for five years. In my past life, I was a bookkeeper and administrator, as well as a postpartum doula working with families.
My work is grounded in empathy, respect, and a deep commitment to helping families navigate some of the most challenging moments in their lives. I bring a trauma-informed and child-centered approach to every client, aiming to support healthier communication, stronger relationships, and positive outcomes for children, adolescents and caregivers.
Outside of my professional work, I volunteer with children to build confidence, leadership skills, and a love for the outdoors. When I’m not camping, you will find me tending to my plants, reading, painting or spending time with loved ones.
Whether I’m working in a clinical setting or around a campfire, I believe in the power of connection, compassion, and community to create meaningful change.

Child Welfare Advocacy
Navigating the child welfare system can be overwhelming and emotionally draining. Whether you're a parent, caregiver, or family member involved with child protection services, you don’t have to go through it alone. I offer Child Welfare Advocacy Services to help you understand your rights, participate meaningfully in the process, and work toward the best outcomes for your family.
As a Registered Social Worker with experience supporting families involved in child welfare matters, I provide:
Support and Guidance: Helping you understand the steps, language, and expectations of the child welfare system.
Advocacy: Attending meetings, case conferences, or court hearings (as appropriate) to support your voice being heard.
Preparation: Assisting with documentation, parenting plans, and goal-setting for reunification or case resolution.
Resource Navigation: Connecting you with relevant services, programs, and legal supports.
I believe families deserve to be treated with dignity, and I’m here to support you in advocating for your children and your role in their lives.
